Director of Special Music
Choir/Tone Chimes Director
I play organ at the 8 am service on a shared rotation. I am also involved in the tone chime choir and vocal choir.
I am married to Paul; an AALC retired pastor, mother of 3 daughters, 1 son & grandmother to 13 grandchildren.
I especially enjoys watching my grandchildren in their sporting and music events. I am also passing on my music enthusiasm to a couple of grandchildren by teaching them piano lessons.
My favorite getaway time is relaxing on the beach and listening to the waves of the ocean.
I have been a member of Memorial since 2002 when I married my husband Jay, who is a life-long member. Shortly after our wedding, I began directing the Adult Choir, and later the Tone Chimes group. I also accompany the 9:20 am Blended Music Worship and coordinate other special music events and selections for worship services. In addition to my work at the church, I teach music at Sioux Falls Lutheran School and private piano and voice lessons. Jay and I have two children, Grant and Elyse. They keep us busy with a variety of activities...I am a proud music mom, dance mom, and sports mom!
