Memorial’s Lutheran Women in Mission is comprised of two circles, Lydia Circle and Lois Circle, who meet once a month except during the summer months. Lois Circle meets on the second Wednesday of every month, at 9:00 AM and Lydia Circle meets on the fourth Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Meetings for both Circles are at the church and include a Bible Study or Devotion and a social time. Offerings for the general fund as well as mites (for missions) are received at each meeting.
Each circle is involved a variety of service projects, fund raisers, and social events. These activities include: Communion preparation, serving at a variety of church functions, Mini Craft/Vendor Fair, and much more. Each woman is invited to be part of LWML and has the opportunity to serve when and where she desires.
Mission projects of Memorial Lutheran Women in Mission are: Memorial Sunday School, Memorial Youth, Sioux Falls Lutheran School, Lutheran High School of Sioux Falls, Seminary Students, kitchen supplies, altar paraments, Pastor’s vestments, St. Francis House, Alpha Center, Children’s Inn, Church Worker Appreciation, and Orphan Grain Train.
