Summer Sunday School

      We are wrapping up for the summer and will meet only a couple times in August—August 2nd & 9th as we prepare for the upcoming school year. We have been exploring how even as broken people, sinners, Jesus came to save us and make us new. We need God everyday. The kids even had a student teacher, Brayden Danley who led a couple weeks as his confirmation project!

 

FAMILY EVENTS: Pick A Park!!

      Bring the entire family to play together at Hayward Splash Pad Sunday, Aug. 2nd @ 6-7 PM (Be prepared to get wet!!! Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel!) Liz will come with snacks and we’ll just play together!!!!! See you there!

 

VBS: Ignite the Light!!! Highlights

      What an amazing week we had at VBS!!! There were over 100 kids registered and had almost 50 volunteers leading the charge. We showed that we are ON FIRE FOR CHRIST!!! We decorated some t-shirts, made a beaded suncatcher and melted some crayons for a cross hanging. We discovered how God lights the way for us to be with Him forever though Jesus. Monday’s story was about Shadrach Meshach and Abendago, how they stood firm in the faith of God. The theme verse was 1 Cor. 16:13 “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”

      Our family night was a blast with some yummy s’mores and inflatable. There may have even been some firetrucks to tour! We collected 301 boxes of cereal with Aqua bring the most at 68  boxes. Our offering project for the Orphan Grain Train Wildfire Relief was $439!  Thank you to all that helped make this a spectacular week. For sending your kids, providing supplies, your prayers and desire to share God’s Word with the kids in a way that speaks to them. We are fired up for Christ!

 

Back To School Blessing—  August 16th

      We call ALL students, and educators to be blessed at any of the 3 worship services and hand out a gift for the new school year

 

Children Ministry Volunteer Opportunities

• Sunday School Teachers & Helpers—lead the lessons and engage with the children.

• Nursery—Love littles?!? Need folks during the 9:30 service time to play and hold babies and toddlers while parents are in Bible class, teaching SS or attending worship.

• Wednesday Night Helper—Assisting with CLUB 345, or Zingers or helping to supervise the hallways during on busy Wednesday nights.

• Cabin Fever Team—Help plan our annual event in January!

 

Wednesday Nights This Fall

• Club 345 (3rd, 4th & 5th Graders) will meet on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month beginning on Sept. 2nd. We will be looking at the Books of the Bible this year.

• Zingers (1st & 2nd Graders) Meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month in Café for some time just for them in God’s Word. We play games, do crafts, Bible lesson and eat a snack!​​​
